Widely considered the very first female film director. After completing her first film 1896, Alice Guy-Blaché became a trail-blazer in the industry, developing innovative film techniques, early ideas of ‘narrative film’ and ultimately shaping the process of filmmaking as we know it.
In collaboration with Modern Films - and in conjunction with the release of BE NATURAL, a new film about Guy-Blaché - we’re thrilled to release the ALICE GUY-BLACHÉ t-shirt.
In BE NATURAL, director Pamela B. Green acts as a detective, revealing the real story of Guy-Blaché and highlighting her pioneering contributions to the birth of cinema and her acclaim as a creative force and entrepreneur in the earliest years of movie-making.
