Ever since her breakthrough role in ATONEMENT - which scored her the first of four Oscar noms, before the age of thirty - Saoirse Ronan has demonstrated her protean prowess as an actor. Throughout her career and in films such as BROOKLYN, HANNA and MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS she has gravitated towards complex, female characters with no trepidation and imbued each performance with a raw authenticity that is unmatched.

Greta Gerwig, her friend, co-collaborator and director on LADY BIRD and LITTLE WOMEN once said: ‘There’s something about Saoirse on-screen. You feel like you could look straight through her, like you can see her insides and her brain working’.

Her latest passion project is THE OUTRUN - an adaptation of the award-winning memoir by Amy Liptrot directed by Nora Fingscheidt (SYSTEM CRASHER). She plays Rona, a recovering addict who returns to her childhood farm in Orkney to find sobriety and reconnect with nature. Deemed to be her best performance yet, this is also her first producing credit - first of many, we imagine.
